Pastry for two-crust pie (I like Pillsbury ready-made pie crust)
1/2 to 3/4 cup sugar (depending on the tartness of the apple)
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
dash of salt
10 cups of thinly sliced pared tart apples
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pastry. Mix sugar, flour, nutmeg,
cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Stir in apples. Put all into pastry-
lined pie plate. Dot with margarine or butt
