MBNA offers four choices for my situation:
1) express payment same-day post, with $15 charges
2) "payment holiday" request that extend the due date for 1 month, but no
grace
period (with interest accumulated). you can only do this a couple of times a
year with special permission.
3) local drop location. Same-day post if you can drop by 2pm.
4) over-night mail. must receive by 2pm Saturday.
I prefer 3, because I am only 18 minutes away, but past 2pm cutoff. So I chose
2, but I have to pay the ful
