这个多见么？一般是不是都是面试前会打电话给推荐人多了解一些信息啊。
还有 一般面完了 faculty讨论完了 再给references打电话 这种情况一般是faculty决
定不了呢 还是倾向于offer了但是最后确认一下呢。。忐忑中

一般是很想要你了，才会直接打电话。这样可以更好了解你的个别特点。而不是很广泛
的推荐信上的内容。
你试想一下，如果你是committee chair，是找人要reference letter省事还是打电话
省事。。。所以，打电话，一般是很重视的canddiate的。
