是只给search committee chair写? 还是给所有参与面试的人写吗? 面试时有些紧张,
注意力都集中在问题上, 没能记住问题都是谁问的. 感觉不容易专门针对每个人都写一
封thank you letter. 还望前辈好心赐教! 这里先谢过了.

说的是第一次没有apr， for 8 billling cycle
这个的意思是不是说第一张check free charge啊，呵呵？当然，最多写1200刀，赚不
了太多interest

I had the same question before. There seems to be a mixed opinion about
thank you letter after campus interview.
In the end, I wrote a short thank you letter to everyone I talked to and put
one or two sentences particularly for that person.
I think you do need to thank the secretary who arranged your travel.

我的意见和经验是不写Thank you letter。面试又不是选妃或施舍，双方交流的事儿，
有什么要thank的？
就像是别的学校邀请你给个invited talk，流程也faculty interview实际也差不多：吃
饭，和n个人一对一的聊天，给个talk，握手，走人，回头处理下reimbursement，结束
。你见过给invited talk的人回头还写个thank you letter的吗？

My experience is that it is better that you write a thank you letter. Does
not have to be long, three sentences, with one mentioning something you
discussed about in the interview, showing that you listened and thought of
collaboration.
A thank you letter will not turn things around if you did a bad job in the
interview but it will make a difference if the two candidates are close, so
close that people have to use their first impressions to pick one.
Being a interviewer myself, I tend to rate those who are really polite
during and after interview higher. Those type of people usually have better
chance to network with others well. therefore, they may have greater
potential to be successful. You may forget one or two because it is bard to
momerize people when a group is interviewing you. So, try your best by
sending to all the ones you remembered and hope for the best. For those you
can't remember what you talked with them, check their background online,
tell them you are interested in their research and hope you will have a
chance to work with them in the near future. Best of luck in finding a
position.

这是个礼仪问题。大家不仅招个学术牛人，也是招个好相处的同事。
对面试AP的，我觉得还是要写，tenure过的跳槽，就不一定了，但总之，对职业上比自
己senior的，显得礼貌些没有坏处。
