Amazon Payments Fees
Fee schedule
The fees and account limits for Amazon Payments Accounts appear below. Fees
are based on a percentage of the transaction amount plus a per-transaction
fee. The transaction amount is the total cost for the items, plus shipping
and any taxes, minus any promotional discounts. Account limits are
determined, in part, based on the verification steps you've completed for
your account. There are no fees for sending payments using Amazon Payments.
Fees for Checkout by Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay
Fees for payments received using Checkout by Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay
are assessed on a per-transaction basis and vary depending on the
transaction amount. They are based on a percentage of the transaction amount
plus a per transaction fee. Our standard transactional rates are as follows:
Transactions greater than or equal to $10.00 2.9% + $0.30 per
transaction (volume discounts available)
Transactions less than or equal to $9.99 5.0% + $0.05 per transaction
We also offer volume discounts on processing fees for all transactions equal
to or more than $10. These discounts are available by application only.
Discount levels for an account will be based on the total average
transaction payment volume for the three months preceding the application
date.
Three-month Average Transaction Volume Percentage of Transaction Per
Transaction Fee
$100,000 and greater 1.9% $0.30
$10,000-$99,999.99 2.2% $0.30
$3,000-$9,999.99 2.5% $0.30

How are the fees for Checkout by Amazon and Amazon Simple Pay calculated?
We charge fees against the fee structure at the time the order is placed.
That is, suppose your fee structure on May 1st is 2.9% of the order total +$
0.30 for each order, and you sell an item for $10.00. The fee charged would
be 2.9% of $10 ($0.29) + $0.30, for a total fee of $0.59.
On May 15th your fee structure is changed based on a volume discount to 1.9%
of the order total + $0.30 for each order, and then you sell an item for $
10.00. The fee charged is now calculated using the new fee structure (1.9%
of $10 + $0.30) for a total of $0.49.
We do not go back and recalculate fees for orders placed before the date
your fee structure changed.
