Just received my balance rewards credit card (converted from cash rewards).
Saw there was a credit line increase option. Thinking about recent success
on discover card, I clicked it. The form is normal: what's new CL, income,
and rental. Then I clicked submit. Cong! Your request has been approved. Yeh
...but, wait a second. Did this cost a hard pull? Only when I opened the
request form again, I found tiny words, "by submitting, you authorize that
we may get a copy of credit report". I still wished that it might be a soft
pull. However, today I received an alert from Citi identity monitor: BOA
pulled your TransUnion!
Anyway, I am OK since this card is really my oldest one. I will keep it
forever. I just wished I had request more CL then.
