有的公司交几十块的押金，不用给ssn
每月押金还有利息几分钱

I think most people just over estimate the impact of a hard pull. In fact,
it could only impact 10% of your score.
Credit check for phone, cable, rent are quite normal. When lenders estimate
your risk of paying back, such inquiries don't mean you are trying to pursue
new credit.
If you don't consider applying auto or home loans, really no big deal for
such thing.

10% means 700 goes to 630, it is a big difference

let me put this way:
the Comcast says you have two options: hard pull your credit or deposit $50(
in my case indeed) and you will get refund when you terminate the service.
even the hard pull might have tiny impact on my credit history, I personally
still prefer the deposit option.

Plz, I only said it counts for 10% weighting or impact factor of your total
score.
Who told you a single pull would degrade score by 10%?

If so, sure you can go for refundable deposit.
I will choose the same if I were you.
Didn't know have such option, might try as well.
