在POS机上刷卡后默认为CC，跟MasterCard GC 差不多。
From Flyertalk:
1. Walmart updated system, and the following GCs are automatically
recognized as CC at the cashier terminal (similar to some MCs):
OV (confirmed)
Vanilla VGC (confirmed)
2. Koisk still works fine
3. For some newer cashier terminals, the cancel-debit trick works:
1) Swipe OV
2) Cancel
3) ATM/Debit
4) No Cash Back
5) Enter the PIN
6) Ask Cashier to hit blue color Debit button on the screen
7) Enter $500
8) Authorized

I bought MO yesterdays with OV, no problem (at WM money center). WM POS
machines are new now, to swipe citi AA EXEC(with chip), POS must read chip
too to get approval, that's an extra step compared to no-chip cc.

Old system: cashier goes first
With the old POS software, after the final total was calculated for your
purchase, the cashier had the option of typing in a split-tender amount on
the physical keypad located to the right of the screen.
After typing in the amount, he or she would press the physical "debit"
button, also located on the right side of the terminal.
Then, the customer could swipe a debit card, select the amount of cash back
desired, if any, and type in their PIN.
This procedure could be repeated up to 4 times total (3 times if loading a
Bluebird card).
New system: customer goes first
Once your Walmart receives the updated POS software, the process is reversed.
Now, after the final total is calculated for the purchase, the customer can
swipe a debit card, select a cash back amount, and enter their PIN.
After the PIN is entered, the customer-facing keypad will read "Waiting for
Cashier," and only then can the cashier type in the amount to be charged to
the swiped debit card and push the "debit" button, again using the physical
key located on the right side of the screen.
In fact, the cashier can type in the amount of the split tender before the
customer swipes a debit card – what triggered reader Serion's repeated
error was the cashier pressing the "debit" button before he had swiped his
debit card and entered his PIN.
This procedure can still be repeated at least 4 times.

好像是这么回事。以前刷one vanilla的卡都是直接到pin。结果昨天就得先按cancel再
选debit，no cash back，最后按pin，和MasterCard GC一样了。不过小二倒是什么都
没说。

OV couldn't do it at money center, there was only 0.5 seconds after swipe,
impossible to press change payment in time, and it asks for signiture in 0.5
second. The clerk entered $500 and we need to confirm $500 on the first
step, before we even start to swipe OV, quite different from step 7 at floor
29 post. (step 7 is before step 1 in my money center load experience)
However I can load at cashier, although not those steps order either.
cashier's new POS machine waits for us to push cancel and select debit.

你是想冲1000，然后小二提前输入了500？那是老方法。你可以告诉小二不要这么弄。
或者你1000分两次充，小二就不可能提前输入debit card的金额。

昨天试了，过程基本上和LS极为描叙的一致，有点小出入。
我是用Vanilla Visa GC 来 load serve，每次load一次500元。连续load两次。有点小
插曲，我load完了以后，有个大妈过来说什么现在一个人一天只能load一次（一个
transaction), 但是可以是1000元， blabla. 态度不是很好，也就不想和她多说就走
了。
请问现在这个系统，还能够split payment么，操作是一样的么？如果不能split
payment的话，买money order就不方便了。

昨天在ATM机上冲的蓝鸟没问题，不知道能不能冲serve，试了一下rapid reload 似乎
也能行但没刷到最后一步。小二那儿肯定不行了

the key is whether the cancel (or change payment) screen will wait for you,
if you are using a machine and that page doesn't pause and wait for your
touch, it won't work (unless the clerk change his/her routine and let you
initiate) just change another machine. If you use a machine that allows
plenty of time for you to press cancel/change payment, you know how it works
(if you have read this thread) to load.

all WM's POS machines are not the same. After several successful loads at
several cashier register machines (at least two different types of machine
there already), this morning I went to that money center again (where I
failed before) and that POS machine is just impossible. that machine just
jump to signature page <1 sec after you swipe card (there was a split second
showing a cancel button, but not enough time to press it). So if you
cannot load on this machine, change a lane, you will eventually find a
machine that waits enough time for you to press it. Then remember that lane
and use it next time.

You need to move really fast. I usually use my left hand to wait for and
press the cancel button while using my right hand to swipe the CC. Also
remember where the button appears on screen, and be prepared.
