我是07年7月来到美国，现在OPT。去年8月份毕业后就没有收入了，老婆08年来美国，
去年三月份以后也没有收入了，6月份opt结束，然后转成F2. 我已经填了8233，在等
1042S.
想请教几个问题:
1. 我是不是已经算是resident alien了，按resident报的话，即使我毕业之后没有收
入，这样有没有什么不好的？是不是需要补交什么税？
2.如果我算resident alien话，老婆是不是也是了？她是不是需要申请一个表格？现在
还来得及么？
3.我们这样的情况是联合报好还是分开报好呢？她当时没有填8233 claim treaty。
情况比较复杂，烦请有经验的帮忙解答一下，先谢过！

算resident alien
如果夫妻中有一个人是resident，NR一方可以选择作为resident file jointly，报税
的时候附带一张statement声明这个选择。

没有填8233也可以在报税的时候填8833 claim，参考精华区4。一般合报好些，分开报
