What do you mean? I still update my DS2019 before sending the materials to DOS but the NOL from China embassy is still the previous one? Or I don't update my DS2019? But I really want to extend DS2019 for about half a year. Thanks for your suggestion.
You can extend your DS-2019, no need to submit to Chinese Embassy new DS- 2019 if they do not require you to do. If they require, you need to send a new copy.

But with my new DS2019, the case number is different if I add the new DS2019 to the application for US DOS. With the old case number,I can't add the new DS2019 to it (just allowing revision of the name, address or statement reason). Even with the NOL from China embassy, how do you process the application for DOS? use a different case number with your new DS2019 with the old ones? or just use the old one without your new DS2019 added but just attaching your new DS2019 with the old materials? Thanks.

http://money.cnn.com/retirement/guide/IRA_traditional.moneymag/ http://www.irs.gov/Retirement-Plans/Retirement-Plans-FAQs-regar Is my IRA contribution deductible on my tax return? If neither you nor your spouse is covered by a retirement plan at work, your deduction is allowed in full. For contributions to a traditional IRA, the amount you can deduct may be limited if you or your spouse is covered by a retirement plan at work and your income exceeds certain levels. Roth IRA contributions aren’t deductible.
The key is you need exactly match what you send to Chinese Embassy and DOS. Old number and information are fine. If you use old number is fine, if you use new Number, did not match Embassy which youi sent.
DS2019 new for

1. If you have no retirement plan at work and you're younger than 70 ½ ;, you can put money in (up to the annual contribution limit) and deduct the entire amount from your taxes. (If your spouse doesn't work outside the home, he or she can also invest up to the federal limit and deduct the full amount, as long as your combined earned income is $89,000 or less.) ... 4. If you're not covered by a workplace plan but your spouse is, your contribution is fully deductible if your combined income is less than $167, 000 and gets phased out at $177,000 or more.
