A student asked me to increase his grade and asked for some extra assignment
. His reason is that he needs to maintain a certain level of GPA for his
double major. Otherwise, he has to drop one major. There is indeed such a
requirement.
If you were me, what do you deal with this issue? thanks.

父母去年11月签B2来美。海关给6个月。眼看6个月快到。能否到墨西哥再出入境。拿
到另外6个月的滞留期？特别感谢有人能回复这个问题。

The rule is the rule. I will not change the rule for him. However, if he is
close to what he needs I will add discretion
marks, like 5%, to help him

imdb上面也是怨声载道。只有一个澳粉出来辩护。
我刚刚反驳了他：
Probably some people don't care. Or some people even like the Oprah vers
ion.
But apparently, most people prefer the David version.
At amazon.com, the Oprah version sells for $34.99, while David version s
ells for $37.99. Market tells.
Like others, it confused me why they bother to find another narrator to
replace the original version. Or don't they have some better choices?
But what confused me most is that, even if they would like to provde som
e other narrator to the audience, why not provide both choices to the au
dience and let the audience to choose? Most DVDs provide mutiple soundtr
acks, in different languages or diffrent versions in the same language.
This set of DVD does provide two soundtracks. One is the Oprah version,
and the other is, however, the blank version.

我觉得你的论据不对。
如果比BD的话，BBC version $47, Oprah version $50
说明市场选择了Oprah?
你应该比amazon销量排名的。
另外，为啥不出一个版本两套配音，应该是版权问题。
Discovery有Oprah配音的版权，BBC有David的版权。
是两个公司，所以不能出一套片子两个配音，除非多花钱把对方版权也买下来。
至于为啥当初Discovery不买David的配音版权？
估计是Discovery觉得美国看电视的人群更喜欢听Oprah的美语口音，而不是英国口音

If the grades have already been posted and announced to the class, I will
not do anything. However, if the grades haven't been finalized, I will give
him the better grade, and the better grade to the students ranked above him
too.
I won't give any special treatment to this student in any case, because any
favor given to this student is not fair to other students who received the
same grade with even better performance.

墨西哥的美国大使馆网页上面明确说了第三国的B2/B1 renewal不可以

我去amazon搜了一下，刚开始出来的清单只看到david配音的blueray,没看到oprah
的。后来当然点进去，dvd下面倒是有blueray的连接。
销量什么的不知道那里找。
至于你说的什么版权，也是非常奇怪。。
难道一个片子买来了，自己配音，不用原来的配音，会少付钱吗？
翻译的外语片子多了。配音以后，只会增加成本，不该减少支出吧？
我是不相信一个片子原来的解说版权会单独出售。

父母B2签证有效期1年，入境时海关给了6月的停留期。没有必要到大使馆，到墨西哥出
入境，过海关。拿到另外6个月的停留期

amazon的用户评价也可以说明一些问题。
david版本154格评分，5分。
ophra版本241格评分，不到两分。

你这个是你设想的希望这样做？还是来已经实际拿到了新的6个月的I-94了？
如果是已经拿到了，那说明你们运气好，碰到一个糊涂的IO。但是最好不要给大家错误
的印象，以为去趟墨西哥或加拿大就可以相当于延期了。而且你们如果真的再住满六个
月，不知道对下次签证有多大的负面影响。

大家都是考过gre的人吧。
这种主观的东西太好argue了。
以上列举的那些都没有用。
argue 1,
喜欢看这种类型片子的人跟喜欢英式口音的人重叠；
喜欢美式口音的人懒得去留positive feedback,或者更倾向于在电视上面看，懒得去买
blueray收藏；

gre这种逻辑题，给出的答案至少都是道理说得通的，很多其实都是实际问题摘录的
。
你这个argue, 基本就是玩文字游戏了。喜欢美式口音的人懒得留positive feedba
ck，懒得收藏blueray 等等，这种毫不相关的事情，都能被你联系到一起。
照你这么说，各种网站的feedback基本都没有用了，都可以找出各种理由来驳斥。

片断也许可以单独出售，主意更可以了。
但是一个成品，把画面和背景音分开销售，还是有点匪夷所思。
另外，现在发行的两种配音版本，都是一家公司吧？
也就是说，这家公司拥有两种版本版权，但却刻意不放到一起做成
multiple soundtracks 供观众选择，而是分开销售。

而且，这个也根本不是什么英国口音美国口音的问题。
只不过有些人故意混淆视听，非要往英国和美国文化历史上靠。
而且不出意外，有些人也会整出什么racist来。
实际上，这个美版配音很不转业，听起来也很别扭。
也就有个名人效应而已。
就像动物世界，那解说还得听赵忠祥老师的。
你也不能因为黄健祥有名，就让黄健祥他们去解说啊。
