I guess what I am asking is if i bonds is subsidized by government and that'
s why they are limiting the amount. If yes, it would be a loss if we don't
take advantage of it.

often manipulated by the government, affecting the return of, for example, I
bonds.
Savings bonds do have some unique benefits, but they are not one-size-fits-
all kind of investment that everyone has to have.
