vest的时候自动withheld .但我自己没有卖过,应该不用额外填股票交易了吧,因为都在

found good matched job positions in an national lab closed to my family. But
these position asks federal job clearance. I am a green card holder now. Is
it possible for me to get the required federal job clearance?
If it is impossible, I may not send my resume to apply these jobs.

我和你一样的情况。RSU自己没有卖，
没有收到1099B。只有一个1099 div 里面是几百刀分红.
Turbotax问我有没有sale RSU/ESPP的时候，我选了no.

there're many types/levels of clearances. the most secret ones (way beyond
the "top secret" level) are not even known to the public.
GC holders are eligible for some low level ones, ask the employer for more
details.

我也有同样的疑问。按说vested RSU也算收入，一般已经算在W2里面了。公司的HR不知
道为啥只扣了25%的联邦税，我的marginal tax rate 比这个高，所以还得补税，即使
股票并没有兑现。
这是不是就是99年有些高科技公司员工破产的原因？高股价时给了一大笔股票，结果没
卖，可税还是按照高股价交的，股票狂跌以后，股票的价值还不能cover交的税。

I believe GC holder is not eligible for official government position

公司的HR不知道为啥只扣了25%的联邦税。税法规定。
RSU vest 时计作收入，需要扣税。可是你没有交现金。所以扣掉的25%会卖掉，所以会
有1099-B。
