第一胎是剖腹产，在国内被黑心医生检查说是必须剖腹产。
第二胎预产期是上周日（2月13）。到现在还没生。
医生一开始说如果13号不产，那么14号剖腹产。我们要求拖延时间，变成了如果16号不
产，17号剖腹产。
老婆坚持要顺产，说是国内生产延迟预产期一周的很多。我写了封信给医生，医生的回
信看起来不大客气，下面是她的回信：
Mr.xxx,
I spoke with Dr. Wrennick and she stated it is against our plan of care and
medical knowledge to prolong her c-section on 2/17/11. If you do not
proceed with the scheduled c-section, we will have to document that you and
Cuian are going against our doctors medical advice and if or when some
disaster or death occurs to the baby you both had the knowledge that this
was a risk and that you wanted to partake in that risk. Furthermore this
has been our plan since Cuian’s initial visit, if she went past the due
date we would perform a c-section therefore you had ample time to find
another physician if you did not agree with our plan of care.

这个是挺危险的吧，不是说第一次刨腹第二次宫缩容易子宫裂开么，虽然概率很小，可
也危险啊

第一胎剖过的，第二胎不剖很危险。也许有些例子是第一胎剖第二胎顺产的，只能说明
人家幸运，不代表其他人效仿也肯定没问题。
要顺产的理由是什么？我想不出有什么比大人小孩的平安更重要的。更何况已经过了预产期……

If I were your wife, I would wait for two more weeks. I will listen to the doctor's suggestions (but doctors' opinions do vary, so the suggestion from one doctor is not all that you can hear from the medical world) but I will weigh the risks by myself and make my own decision accordingly. In my opinion, in general the risk of a repeat cesarean is higher than that of a vaginal birth after cesarean. But your wife knows her health conditions best, so it is her responsibility to combine all the information and to make a decision which meets her need. That's just my two cents.

I would also change the doctor if I were your wife, because it seems she is
not supportive of VBAC, which is very common here. Even if your wife's labor
starts naturally sometime later, it is very easy for her to make a biased
decision during your wife's labor if she thinks your wife "should" have a
surgery. It will be a disaster if she keeps thinking in that way. A last
minute changing to someone even without insurance coverage is worth trying,
because a cesarean is a major surgery and it causes permanent damage to your
wife's body.
Your wife deserves complete information about the risks of vaginal birth and elective cesarean so that your wife can make the healthiest choice possible for her and her baby. No one can make her choices for her. But make sure that she understands that she HAS the choice. After all, it is still her body and her baby.

Different doctors give different suggestions. While it is true that most OBs
here do encourage a repeat cesarean, some (might be very few) encourage
VBAC. Even if a patient can't find any OB supportive of VBAC around her
while her pregnancy stays normal, it doesn't mean that her will for a VBAC
is not supported from some other doctors.
We are not equally lucky to have the same quality doctors.

多谢，我们是在一个Women's physician 单位看得，这里有四个医生，平时轮流给我老
婆检查，其中一个指定为我们的（看起来也就是三十来岁）接生医生。她坚持过期手术
，今天她的护士给我回信：
Mr. XXX,
Dr. Wrennick has no available appointments this afternoon but will see Cuian
in the morning 2/17 at 9:15am in the Baptist office. She wants her to not
eat or drink after midnight tonight and be prepared to go to the hospital at
10am. She will speak with Cuian (please bring someone that can interpret)
regarding the importance of her having the c-section tomorrow. Our practice
schedules everyone vaginal or c-section by 41 weeks because of the risks
and complications that can occur to both baby and mother. A c-section
further limits options when past your due date especially with unfavorable
cervix as in Cuian’s case. Please respond to this email that you will have
Cuian at the office in the am and she will be fasting.

I am scared by this response. Dr. Wrennick shows no interest in further
explaining things and discussing other options. Even if you tell her that
you are responsible for all possible outcomes, she is waiting for your wife
with a knife in her hands. She is eager to cut into your wife's body. I would
not go to see her if I were your wife.
We all have the right to decide how we want to deliver our babies. Doctors can make suggestions, but they do not have the right to force us to accept their suggestions.

从医生的口气和楼主的口气来看一旦明天去了，逃离手术希望渺茫，而且似乎楼主并没
有很支持老婆，他老婆说过了预产期很正常，楼主却试图说服老婆去手术。

The doctor will not force you to the operation table if you do not want to.
You just need to sign some documents. You can get other doctors, but it may
be too late. I doubt any doctor would like to accept a patient this late
without seeing her before.And even youself would not like a new doc who did
not follow you during the pregnancy. You can ask the doctor if the baby is
in good condition, like the result of ultrasound (有多少羊水，baby的活动，心
跳等）。What are the risks of waiting for another couple of days. Do not
hesitate to ask any questions you have. Your wife may change her mind if she
really knows all the risks.

我的体会，在美国医生通常只是给建议，病人作最终决定并承担相应后果。
楼主发的第一封医生回复中，医生的态度很明确了：如果病人坚持自然生产，医生不反
对，但是病人要对后果负责。

我觉得楼主两口子挺奇怪的,这么想自然产的话,为什么不早点和医生沟通好,本来就不
是所有OB都支持VBAC,就算同意VBAC的医生也要evaluate你们的情况,l因为.事到临头了
才说要自然产. 都第二胎了,连点常识都没有

他们认为自己有“常识”——医生是不靠谱的，顺产是最安全的。
可惜，这个“常识”过期变质了。

你们俩谁是医生吗？
如果不是，为什么和医生argue?
我overdue一天，我家上下都要蹦着找医生催
过期一周不算问题，但是如果医生发现胎盘有剥落的危险，或者胎盘老化的迹象，那就
比较危险
跟医生谈谈，听听医生要求c的原因
