大宝现在快17个月了，二宝11月份due。 家有二老，是时侯把5人坐的车换成7、8人坐
的。 相同情况的MM们，家都用什么车？ 宝宝carseat怎么摆放? 先谢了！

Minivans are the best. You'll appreciate how useful that would be. Since you
have 2 kids under 3, I'll suggest put both carseats in the middle row and
have the elderlies sit in the last row.

我知道mini-van 的第二排中间好像通常没有位子。 那 carseats 摆两边会容易摇晃吗？
now with the small car, we put the car seat in the middle and adults sit on
the side and we do feel sometimes the car seat moves a little while driving
or if we push it to the side. No experience with the big car so just want to
make sure it is stable ^^

We are planning to get the second-hand car. Initially was thinking to spend
more and get the second hand of Benz GL class. Some second hand car have DVD
install on the back of the seat. One thing we are worry about is since of
the side seat on second row have to be fold down and then move to the front
in order for the ppl to get to the third row. If we put two car seats next
to each other on second row will it block the side seat ... If that is the
case then will have to get the Mini-Van instead, any experience? One good
thing about the Benz GL class is the third row can be fold all the way and
hide underground so won't break easily...买车提麻烦的。。。

Odessey, when folding down the third row, does it fold all the way
underground or it will be on the surface? If after fold, the seat remains on
surfaces, if we put heavy stuff on the top let say after grocery shop, will
it be easy to break tho?

补补的这么多年了，估计没给日本人民贡献什么（纯属是自我安慰）。以后有钱了打算
换个美国或者德国车（不知道什么时候才能给中国民族企业创点外汇，sigh...)

Our Honda Accord is new when we first bought it back in 2007. But then we
don't drive it that often (only on weekends) plus poor poor now so second-
hand for family car should be more worth it ^^

Just went to msn and see the picture of the second row seats of Honda
Odessey, they have the arm rest for both individual seats, guess will be
stable if install the carseats properly ^^

我来说两句吧。
minivan的第二排是两个带扶手的captain seat,比连在一起的3个座位的要宽敞，装两
个carseat没问题，不会晃。一些7座的SUV的第2排也有这个选项，像我们买的Enclave(
别克的）,可惜宝爸一时糊涂选了8座的。我的建议还是第2排选两个带扶手的captain
seat。
我们家买的是8座的SUV, 需要把第2排的一个座位翻倒才能让第3排的人进去。我们现在
是把infant carseat & convertible carseat 都安在第2排，convertible carseat 在
中间，infant在边上(两边的两个座位都可以翻）。可是因为convertible 买的布雷娃，太大，所以每次都得把它松了才能翻椅子，并不方便。infant carseat 被 convertible carseat 挡着，所以老二我们基本不太够得着。当初买了8座而不是像minivan一样的7座，就是因为不想总把第三排翻起来（第3排不用的话可以完全放平），而且可以有1个大人坐在宝宝们旁边。现在看来有老二后第三排恐怕是要常翻起来。当然我们现在全家6口出门的话，第三排只翻起一个座位，仍然有不错的cargo space。

哎，这都是第一手的lessons learned 啊。想象一下，在一家店买了东西，要去隔一两
条街的馆子吃饭，就得松卡座，翻椅子，姥爷上车，翻回椅子，装卡座，装宝宝们，开
个2 分钟，再把这个过程反过来做一遍，是不是很悲摧啊？@[email protected]

我没买，不知道。看着lincoln navigator L 和cadillac escalade esv挺大的，类似
GMC YUKON, FORD EXPEDITION, CHEVORLET SUBURBAN 都是类似的款式。

看你们并不反对美车，那可以看看GM家的一些车型，我们的Enclave我觉得内部设计得
挺合理的。这也是我们家第一次买美车，所以长期的质量还拭目以待。我认为第3排放
平后装grocery shopping & stroller 没问题，不会压坏。关于Cargo capacity, 你要
看Cargo capacity with all seats in place (say from Edmund),会有个比较客观的
估计。我们到是买了个2座的stroller, 不过女儿基本上不太肯坐，所以取决于你的2个
孩子多大了，需要2个stroller的时候也许不多。

据说是先不说trade in的事情，先砍车价，砍完以后再说trade in折价。俺不清楚 ，

那是你们carseat没装好。放什么车，什么座位也不改晃。或者说move少与多少来着，
数字我往了，很小，几乎就是不准动。不会绑可以约local police department，有专
门免费安装carseat的。

It doesn't move that much unless we push hard on it...was just feeling that
if an adult sits next to it, it will be more safe. But since the seat have
its own arm rest handle, guess it should be all good ^^

You talk about Lincoln MKX or MKT? MKX is too small. MKT looks very long.
Our garage can barely park LD's MKX, I don't know if MKT would fit in. And if you meant Navigator, that car is too pricey, not as cost effective as Routan.

some people are complaining the seating in third row is not roomy enough.
Guess really have to check these cars out and get personal view on it ^^

Yes you need to compare several models to get the ideal one. My friend's
Benz 4Matic, I feel not that comfy in the 3rd row either. But it could be
just the seat back, not because of no room.

我买的是Benz R350，不过只有六个座位。我觉得买大车的话，可以大孩子坐最后一排
，小孩子在中间，两个大人一排一个看着他们，又可以比较方便的进出。我们买这个车
是因为这个车很安全，而且买两三年新的车子很非常合算。我们买的两三年新的车有内
置GPS（我路性不好，非常实用），大天窗，真皮座椅，才三万多。

一个伞车一个普通stroller应该可以放下，但是菜就没地方放啦，哈哈

如果你不坐第三排的话，那么后面空间很大很大，否则坐满6个人，后备箱真不大

Husband prefer Benz GL class. Guess most likely will do what u suggested,
one car seat in the back for older son an one in the second row ^^ was
hoping could find a good second hand with DVD for the kid to watch ^^ he
thinks Benz should be more safe and more suitable for young couples like us
=P guess will Check iboth of them and then compare ^^ thanks all!
