Next thing I saw,
Conscious; airway good, breathing
fine, circulation without problem……
,有人call in。
911 called back。 I gave them a brief description and
located the address (shame on me, I had lived in this area for two years but
did not know the name of the street). 我告诉911我认为she hit her head, 虽然
she might have thought she was just smoking at the door of her apartment—I
saw a cigarette right beside her。
straightforward地告诉她,for her safety, it was better for her to stay where
she was.
一边说: sweetheart, keep your head and neck still; sweetheart, it is ok. The
ambulance is on the way here…。。。老太说,“我不去医院,我要回我房间”;
I am getting very anxious when seeing
愿意讨论the responsibility of bystanders.
(It is safer not to jump into fire or
water unless you are sure you can do it. Don’t stop and approach an
appearingy-broken car, especially some 黑驾驶员.)
Tell the 911 where you want to go, especially trauma or
stroke level one center.
the patients to the closest hospitals if the patients and families do not
express their wishes. It takes an ambulance another 5-10 minutes to arrive a
bigger hospital. However, it takes at least one to two hours to get
transferred from a local community hospital to the Level one center. Time is
life; time is brain. Usually, Level One hospitals have privileges to do
more aggressive procedures and respond faster.
3. Never move a trauma victim. Once the cervical spine gets damaged, this
4. Don’t hang up when you are calling 911. They get your number easily
and quickly. 911 is free. However, if you hang up, local dispatcher would
call you back. It costs (猥琐,鄙视老公—just kidding。)
