I took Birth class ($85), infant care ($50), breastfeeding ($50) and infant
CPR ($30). They are useful, especially for my husband. But for the infant
care and infant CPR, we watched a lot of DVD in class. if you can find good
DVDs or video online, I don't think it is that necessary. But to me, it just
gave me peace of mind that I did my homework. BTW, in my hospital, all
classes offered books which summarized what you learned in class. I think
they are well worth it. These classes gave you the common sense as a first
time parent and each of them takes 4-5 hours long. To that extend, I think
the class price is well justified. Plus you and your husband will be on the
same page when the baby comes. :-)
