just found got pregnant one month. an offer is waiting for me to work in the
lab. I don't know if i should go to lab to work. the paperwork is almost
done. Hard to decide.
This is the first time to ask Qs at NextGeneration. Please give me some
suggestions. Thanks

你没说实验室接触的是啥？辐射？毒性？光？同位素？
大学？国家实验室？公司？
如果是公司，那么有规范的对孕妇的操作程序，他们会告诉你什么可以碰，什么
不可以碰。当然他们也可能收回OFFER

Thanks.
It is in the University. Anticancer drugs and mostly will do mice work.

如果在没有什么毒性的实验室应该问题不大。

Thanks all.
It is in University. I am worried about some chemical or toxic stuff will
affect the baby. 3-8 weeks the fetus is very sensitive to this materials.
I am not young any more, though this will be the first baby.
Just got HR's email to ask the reschedule with occupational medicine to see
the result. I should go today, but not.
Sign!!!
I am not sure what exact duty will be in the lab, but I feel will be pushed
hard.
Do you guys think it is a good idea to tell the PI now, since have not
started to work yet.

美国的防护措施大部分还不错
但为了安全起见，前三个月还是尽量不要接触有毒有害的东西
尤其是放射性物质，还有易挥发的有害化学药品

怎么保险怎么来，怎么让自己放心怎么来。
孩子的确是最重要的。
当时我在做有机合成，也是硬着头皮去做了。边做边祷告，心到了孩子生出来的时候才
放下来。
其实现在心里还是有点担心。可是，可怜的学生，有什么办法呢！
当时没办法。
现在想想，真的应该跟老板提一下，前三个月不要做实验，至少前三个月。
自己的经历，跟mm分享。

我做实验一直做到生，生了孩子，两个月左右，又回去做实验了。
