打epidural， 差点死在医院了.# NextGeneration - 我爱宝宝

A dump anesthesiologist made a mistake of the epidural injection during my
induction. He injected the epidural to my spinal fluid instead of the
membrane. When I complained the headache and ear pain, he insisted it was
normal. The medicine shut down my lung system 30 minutes later and caused
the respiratory arrest. In other words, I cannot breathe anymore and the
heart would be stopped 5 mins later. Fortunately, the nurse in the room
found I was unresponsive and turned blue. She issued the highest emergency
alert immediately and the emergency team rushed to the room to resuscitate
me by inserting a breathing tube directly to my lung. The lucky thing is the
team is usually on the other floor but they were at next door on that day.
It only took 3 mins form alerting to inserting the tube. They also did an
emergent c-section to get the baby out. Everything worked quickly and
smoothly. I had developed some complications during the resuscitation but
they all managed well and went away during my 5 days recovery. Baby looks
fine too but we need to keep an eye on it even everybody told us there aren'
t any complications.
We didn't get any report from the hospital or any apologies from the the
anesthesiologist when we were released from hospital yesterday. We just got
some verbal details from nurses and my OB's personal investigation. My OB
told us it was a known complication of the epidural and we may not be able
to sue the anesthesiologist and he sounds like getting away from this
without any scratches. I am really upset about the whole incident and
looking for legal advices now.
Every time, when I think of what my husband and the baby went through, I
cannot help being emotional. The family had expected a new life joyfully but
were facing losing both of us; my older son may not see me anymore......
Life is really precious and we should all appreciate what we have now.......
If you know any good malpractice lawyer, please let me know. I am very
concerned about any future complications even we haven't seen any yet.

１０：０２am ： 打麻药epidural。打麻药是时感觉有水从脊柱冲上脑后勺，耳痛加头
痛。和第一胎完全不一养。告诉护士和麻醉师，麻醉试说正常。 躺下来没多久，发现
墙上的钟上下动，觉得不正常，后来护士进来检查开指插尿管，告诉护士钟在动。这也
是我有意识的最后一句话。后来麻醉师在OB的追问下承认wet tap。
１０：３２am： 护士发现无呼吸，turned blue and unresponsive 但有心跳血压。
１０：３５：插管
１０：３８： 醒来，呕吐，想拔掉管子
１０：４２： 被全身麻醉
１０：４５： 紧急C cession
１０：４９： 宝宝出生
３：００pm：照X光，肺清晰
４：００pm： 转入母婴病房
第二天又照x光，没有问题。
有咳嗽，痰，呼吸短，但一两天后就没了。
５天后出院，目前母亲和婴儿没有发现问题。医院和麻醉师没有给任何解释。以上信息
是从OB的调查所得，OB 认为虽然很可能是epidural wet tap所致，但没有证据，麻醉
师还是认为他没错，他说可能是其他引起的。但我康复没有任何的其他症状，身体也没
有什么medicalhistory。所以只可能是Epidural。 OB说
我和宝宝没有complications，所以不可能有case。 但以后呢，会不会留后遗症？而且
医院没有给任何书面的report，正不正常？
