Science is always advancing. You cannot reason something like "we didn't do
it when we were kids so our kids shouldn't..."
If you got flu once you would deeply regret. If you are always lucky then,

How do you make sure the "science" is correct?
Think of the X-ray (thousands got cancer because of this advanced science
when it was first invented, people thought it was harmless).
And trans-gen. food, and so on.
Why not let children develop their own immune/reaction system naturally?

Overall the world is moving forward not backward. People are getting longer
and longer life span. It is because of the advanced technology.
While extreme cases are possible, one might not need any medicine for one's
whole life. I believe medicine is overall helpful. I do vaccine my child,
have flu shots for the whole family, and go to checkups according to
recommendations. Among the 100+ things I follow the recommendations, I
believe most of them are beneficial.
Trying new things can be risky. But validation is getting stricter. Nowadays
nothing gets released without lots of experiments and data. Flu shot has
been around for more than 60 years. Comparing pros and cons, pros outweighs.

我们也不打，10个月。6个月的时候儿医推荐打，我拒绝了。儿医还很奇怪。

我家老大六岁前打flu shot，因为六岁前的儿童得flu引起并发症的机会比较大，比较
危险，六岁后觉得她免疫力够强大了。我自己从不打，lg每年都打，打完都要病上那么
两天。

很奇怪说明你们这样做的很少。
再说flu的变异有很多很多种，就算是锻炼自己免疫了一种，明年也可能被另一种击中。

疫苗这个玩意儿,爱打不打,没人强迫你,任何一种疫苗都不是强迫的,尽管我觉得
在现在这个社会,没有打疫苗的人其实是赚了那些打了疫苗的人的便宜.
