• Communicate results and progress to team, supervisor, and global
customers via timely, high-quality internal reports and external
publications
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and technical
developments affecting areas of responsibility
• Develop corporate contacts in areas of responsibility.
• Collaborate with and/or lead internal/external global technical
teams
• Represent GM effectively to the external technical community.
• Grow technical and interpersonal skills and identify training
needs jointly with supervisor.

• Thorough understanding of scientific principles and research
methodology
• Familiarity with analytical tools and experimental techniques as
appropriate
• Advanced training in theoretical and applied science/engineering
• Work experience in related field, experience in an international
company preferred
• Advanced (MS/PhD) degree in science/engineering disciplines
preferred or equivalent experience
• Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to
work effectively with GM internal & external customers
• Ability to communicate (read, write, speak) using the English
language
• Technical leadership skills
• High level of analytical and experimental ability
• Adaptability to work in different technical areas
• Ability to work effectively on multiple projects
• Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related
area required
