我朋友的小女， 6-7岁最近脑肿瘤，已经做了开颅手术有大半年了。想到美国来看看有
什么好医生，好药物能够进一步治疗。
我知道的也就这些，知道的能不能推荐推荐，看能不能帮上他，谢谢！

今年不打算claim父母作为dependent,但是想给他们申请个税号明年用，因为今年他们
回去了，明年再申请比较麻烦。我看大家都是和报税表格一起提交，要是单独申请税号
可以吗？

what type of brain tumor? there are hundreds of them that are seen routinely

excuse me, the most prestigious rating in USA of hospital is by US TODAY.
I am a cancer patient not brain cancer though, been to many hospitals like
MGH,DUKE,UAB, and so on.

it is very true that the ignorant are brazen.
Duke is still reeling from its big scandals. Potti scandal is only its most
famous, and there are many more. Potti scandal already involved tens of
physicians and thousands of patients.
Duke is not even considered a safe hospital. its malpractice rate has been
much higher than hospitals of similar size for more than 10 years.

the point is this is a pediatric patient with a history of brain cancer.
Without knowing the kind of cancer -- the options are:
Neurosurgery: Johns Hopkins, Barrow Institute or other large academic
centers such as MGH, UCSF, Mayo. Duke is DEFINITELY not the place to go for
neurosurgery. Everybody thought Ted Kennedy was an idiot to go there.
Great pediatric hospitals include: CHOP, Boston Children's, Johns Hopkins,
and other large academic institutions.
Notable cancer centers include: Dana Farber, Memorial Sloan Kettering, MD
Anderson.
My suggestion would be a strong pediatric neuro-oncology unit such as MSK,
Johns Hopkins, or the Harvard consortium.
