I have been working for a big company for 5 years and became the program
manager for a 15 engineer's group, but I do not think I will have a big jump
for the next 5 years since the culture and structure in this company, so I
decide to make a move. I will have an on site interview next week for a big
Oil company , the position is a senior engineering leader position. But I am
really looking into the engineering manager position which requires 10~15
years experience which I do not qualify. I am no
manager for a 15 engineer's group, but I do not think I will have a big jump

你确定公司能马上要你吗？有的公司从申请到拿到offer可能要好几个月，
而且就是你拿到公司的职位，如果你没有opt的话，申请拿到h1b后，也要
等到10月1日才开始工作呀
但是对于着急要公司，时间不对可能他就会找别人，但是也有很多公司会

don't think so...
these 2 positions are too far away from each other, your current one, and
the one "requires 10~15 years experience".
more or less, it's like a fresh graduate asking for a senior job at XX
company, mission impossible? well, not 100% but...
take down the leader position FIRST and get into the door if you like the
company, and if it's a good move for you (more $, commute, career...).
companies tend to be more conservative in hiring for "10~15 years experience
" positions because t

貌似面试就是看你会不会在linux环境下工作。
看书楞记不如删了windows，只用一两个月linux。
