It seems that your wife share a similar case as my mother. Several years ago
, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer as a PET scan showing a ground
glass like nodule in her left lung. The so called lung cancer expert doctor
insisted she need a surgery right away even without a biopsy exam; and they
refuse to order one as the nodule's location is very tricky. Fortunately I
took my mother to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston to seek second
opinion. And luckily the doctor we seen is very considerate and knowledgable
. He ordered a biopsy procedure immediately but the result of the test was
uncertain as the specimen of the nodule was undefined. However, the doctor
believed the nodule is non progressive slow growing kind as he has monitored
about 5 women with the similar cases in the past ten years. Non of these
women's nodules enlarged or changed since then. So he told us to just to
follow up with him every 6 months. It's been couple of years and my mother
is living happily. Currently, we only need to follow up with that doctor
once a year. So tell your wife to relax, and bring her over US to see a
good doctor for second opinion before take a damaging treatment in China. I
believe your wife will be just like my mother and resume her normal life in
no time. Good luck!
