They violated amazon's policy of not selling more items than they had available. I thought that it meant something when the order status read "shipping soon" and even had dates for 3 days following placement of this order. As a result I did not order this item elsewhere and missed a number of other opportunities to buy the tablet at discounted price as a result. Which leaves me wondering: why should I shop at amazon if it means absolutely nothing for the status to say "shipping soon". I am a huge shopper here and do a lot of business with amazon but I am seriously reconsidering this after this experience. Extremely disappointed with both onsale and amazon."
Ama says you can leave feedback for canceled order after 3 days through " Leave Seller Feedback", let's see.

OnSale via Amazon.com Did you recieve your OnSale order? Poll Huge wave of cancellations went out on 8/24 just after noon PDT. Amazon has completely removed the order from my history, no sign that it ever existed A handful have received notice that their order has been shipped. OnSale thread is thread. A few have reported receiving credit from Amazon for their trouble. Please take the time to post your experience on resellerratings, too: http://www.resellerratings.com/store/Onsale For the sake of fairness, it would be good to mention in your ratings that the company was faced with an unexpectedly high volume. I've read most of the comments, and they seem to imply that this is a chronic problem. Unless you have evidence of this, I would encourage you to be clear and accurate about the circumstances of your order cancellation. Destroying a company's reputation over a single, unanticipated event is unfair to the company, especially since you could have expected what you were in for. Several shipping notices appeared this evening. If your status still shows " Shipping Soon" you may be ok. Notices appeared starting around 2200 EDT. Amazon status was then updated to shipped with tracking numbers. Let us know how OnSale treated you Poll If you received a cancellation from onSale, you will need to tell Amazon about it. Amazon frowns upon it's markeptlace sellers listing non-existent inventory for sale. You won't be able to leave them a negative feedback on Amazon for now as according to the CSR it takes up to 3 days for the order to show up in your account. So here is a suggested course of action: 1) Get on the chat with the representative, give them your order number and date. Ask them that you must leave a negative feedback for this seller. If the representative gives you stiry about 3 days before order becomes available for feedback, point them to their own rules here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/cus...332&sr=1-1. Nowhere it states that the order have a waiting time for feedback to be left. This seller has been reported multiple times already, so Amazon may consider banning this sale for good. 2) Go to this link and fill out the policy violation report: http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/reports. Other then hurting your feelings, this seller violated the following Amazon Marketplace policies: - Violation of Marketplace Shipping Rules http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/cus...eId=537734. The seller must ship the item within 2 business days. We all received cancellation after 3 or 4 business days. - Requirement to have an inventory on hand ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/cus...46#fulfill ). Sellers are required to have their items on hand and ready to ship. Amazon takes this offense very seriosly, at least with smaller marketplace merchants. - The order must be cancelled immediately (see link above) if the seller is unable to ship within 2 business days. For example my order was placed on 8/ 21 and cancelled on 8/24, that;s more than 2 business days. 3) Dig in your email for other orders cancelled by this merchant. To my amusement I found another onSale on Amazon order that I tried to place in May that was cancelled the same way. 4) Call OnSale CS @1-888-760-0300 and talk to the operator about the order and ask them why it took so long for them to cancel the order, as well as the amazon policy of "Need to have item in hand, before putting up for sale" Repeat that a couple times in your conversation and try to use some leverage, "bought them for whole family, but now, I am not gonna get anything" (I know it sounds bad, Just Try it!) After a couple mins, She gave a $25 credit for my next phone purchase through OnSale.com. Now, go to amazon, and rip that merchant account into shreds with our negative feedbacks!!!! If we all persistent, we may persuade Amazon to cancel onSale account and ban them from sale on Amazon marketplace.
