装抽油烟机的话，肯定要在墙上打个洞的吧，townhouse好像是不可以打洞的。。

Look at the microwave, does it contains a fan? Most would. If yes, just
switch it so that the air would go outside. The power is strong enough. We
used it for 10 years now, no problem unless you heat the oil extremely high.

有的是。但别人的允许，你的不一定允许。
所以你得问你自己HOA。

You can get a powerful inline fans and tie it into existing your bathroom
exhaust pipe, put in 2 dampers, so you can control it to suck from either
kitchen or bath or both. Not the best or most powerful, but you do not have
to make any new holes.

Very simple, but if you do not have access, you will have to cut the sheet
rock and patch up later. A pair of tin snip and a few clamps you are in
business, you can connet to the existing fan wire (that way your fan can be
turn off in the bath room). If you want to control it in the kitchen with
out running additional wires, you can get a X-10 system.

原来你的是没有洞的啊，我的原来的微波炉也有pipe连到墙外的，所以比较好搞。

微波炉还有pipe真幸福的呀。我们这里的townhouse好像都没有什么pipe，有风扇也都
是室内循环。。

同HOA manager 搞好关系，比读HOA手册还重要。
我的第一个house也是一个town house。给manager修了PC 和家电，就可以在墙上钻
N个洞，装了抽油烟机，还加了一个half bath。她说她没看见。我卖的时候修好
garage门之后，她马上派人来刷漆。
前owner跟她吵修roof，官司打了有几年，气得把房子卖给了我。
