我现在美国，新教职快去上任了，要去的学校在加拿大
有经验的教授前辈帮忙看看，有几个同事，考虑要带些礼物，不知道带什么礼物合适？
或者对美国加拿大都有了解的朋友也可以建议一下带什么东西比较好？
包括以下几个人：
1. 旧系主任，白人，马上要离职做普通教授。学术上交叉非常小，但是他帮我
negotiate offer非常给力的，assistant professor的位子工资给到了full professor
的bar了。而且给我nominate 特殊title，准备材料的时候，和我一起改了好几轮的
research proposal。他做的估计就是系主任的职责范围内，但是他做的非常努力，我
作为受益者，非常感激。
2. 华人教授，招我的hiring committee的成员，我面试的第一天的host，面试之前我
们互不相识。但是从面试开始到拿到offer过程中，他给了我非常多的帮助和意见，帮
我最后敲定这个offer起了非常重要的作用。所以我非常感激他。我们科研有少量交叉
，以后可能会合作。
3. 另一个华人教授，招生的时候给了我一些建议，我明年开学以后会和带一个学生。
4. 白人副教授，我们科研有一定交叉，可能会有比较深的合作。我的research
proposal他也改了好几版，为了加强我的review经历，还临时找了个paper让我审稿。
5. 白人教授，科研完全没有重合，面试的时候都没见过他。因为他有经验，也帮我改
了几版proposal。
6. 即将上任的新系主任，系里的元老，科研有少量重合，以后可能会有合作。她给我
的帮助到目前不是很大，但是我能拿到offer，她的意见是有非常大的作用的。送礼物
给她主要是拜山头儿，不然他知道了我给几个同事带了礼物没她的，怕她不高兴。

pharmacoeconomic sector, a strong knowledge of SAS software, and exceptional
personal qualities.
Requirements
# M.S. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health or related field
# Proficiency in writing maintainable, supportable, well-documented SAS code
# Proficiency in SAS macro programming and SQL
# Experience with advanced data manipulation techniques
# Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis background
# Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy is required to assess
the quality of output and investigate potential issues
# Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and
competing priorities
# Ability to interact with and respond to varied levels of management, and
prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines
# Preferred: previous experience with healthcare or prescription data

yes, when filed without a clean SEVIS record or without an I-20 with OPT
annotation.
another possiblity is that you had been approved of OPT before but you did
not explain.
