Hi all, I have a question about the references. Currently, I interviewed a
position and the interviewer called me today asking for the references.
Should I ask my direct supervisor be one of my references?
The situation is my supervisor is my friend and she always said she wishes
to give me good comments. However, we just started a huge project and the
priority of the project is very high. I am playing the leading role in that
project. If I am leaving, the project will be impacted.
Also a general question, usually, who should you choose to be your
references? The advisor in school, the supervisors in your company, or some
other people?

最近在看本子，对比Dell XPS和Lenovo X1 Carbon, 发现Dell XPS已经全面使用Intel
第7代Core，可Lenovo的X1C、T460S似乎仍然是老的第6代Core。这两款机何时能使用第
7代Core呀？有消息吗？还是说还要等到明年CES发布、3月才上市？

Intel
for day-to-day use, the difference is not exactly noticeable.

代差不大，根本不用等。现在笔记本的CPU比当年i7-2600四核用起来都慢。

不是你鳖不肯用，是因为你鳖拿不到持续稳定的core 7供货.
Dell是美国企业，Intel对丫的支持不是一个Level的。

还是有差别吧。
XPS 13号称电池可以用22小时,感觉这么长续航应该跟新CPU有关吧。When you are
using productivity applications, like Word or Excel, experience the longest
battery life of any 13-inch with up to 22 hours of continual use on a FHD
model.
新XPS已经上市一阵了，Lenovo怎么慢了这么久，再不出来考虑上XPS了。。。

是的，从i系列开始，速度基本没有提升了，都是降低能耗从而延长续航
