Mechanical Equipment Engineer
This position will provide support to the Engineering Dept. for and
expansion and improvement project, mainly for equipment evaluation and
purchasing and possibly some mechanical design down the line.
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related
fields
Qualifications: 3-10 years of related experience. Proficient in MS Office.
Candidates should be proficient in CAD. Experience with equipment sourcing
with both US and China vendors. Knowledge with plastic extrusion process is
a plus.
Requirements: Must be fluent in Mandarin / Chinese

SUMMARY
Provide support to engineering projects for expansion and improvements
across a wide variety of areas, mainly for equipment evaluation and
purchasing, and possibly some mechanical design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create, bid, and evaluate specifications, quotes and purchasing documents.
Work with industrial equipment purchasing for both U.S. and China
manufacturing plants. Vendor management and negotiation. Work with an
engineering team of 10-15 people, including the Director of Engineering.
Support the plants by purchasing and integrating equipment. Travel to
plants within the U.S. and possibly overseas 15%.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering and experience in
a manufacturing environment. Project management experience would be helpful

utility (chilled water, cooling water, and compressed air) and pneumatic
conveying systems is a plus.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Possess intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Internet/
Intranet experience preferred. Design experience using AutoCAD and
Solidworks is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups (
employees or customers).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,
commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability
to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram,
or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
