POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Sales and in close cooperation with the CEO you
will be an integral member of Union Semi’s Sales and Field Applications
Team. You will work with our sales managers, business units, corporate
applications teams and distribution partners to discover new sales
opportunities and provide technical application support for all of Union
products. You will be responsible for designing a portfolio of analog and
mixed-signal products into Customers’ applications, and for meeting year-
over-year design win growth objectives for your region.
Candidates should have three to five years of analog or mixed-signal board
level electrical design or semiconductor applications engineering. Extensive
knowledge on analog and/or power design would be a huge plus. You are able
to lead in-depth technical discussions and to present technical features and
benefits of our products.You will be proficient in power design and
topologies, and have experience with Industrial Automation technologies such
as precision measurement and control systems, signal conditioning,
industrial busses and data conversion. This role is primarily based out of
San Jose, CA. Travel can be expected to be at about 20%.

Responsibilities:
Drive Y/Y growth of design wins both in technology breadth and served
customer base.
Establish rapport with the customer and become the go-to expert for all of
their technical inquiries.
Provide the customer with product information and design tools such as data
sheets, samples, demo boards, application notes, and product seminars.
Provide in-depth design in assistance by using applications support from the
Business Units / Corporate Application to help support specific product/
system design efforts.
Get products designed into customers’ development projects by working with
the key technical decision makers.
Be aware of the size and nature of the business at assigned accounts and
participate in developing account penetration strategies.
Review teardown reports, perform engineering analysis and study customer
literature to develop full understanding of your assigned customers’
applications and product architecture.
Champion the customers’ needs and work with the Business Units and other
applications colleagues to develop competitive and creative technical
solutions via reference designs and New Product Idea submissions.
Understand the competitive landscape and continuously work on
differentiating company solutions.
Develop and maintain detailed project and system block diagrams using
Microsoft Visio. Document customer design activities using internal Sales
Portal tool DOT.
Manage multiple concurrent projects. Ensure timely support /execution of
assigned tasks and action items.
Clearly and accurately communicate external and internal reporting.
Educational Background:
To be successful in this role a strong academic and technical background in
electrical engineering is essential. At minimum a BSEE is required, and an
MSEE would be preferred. Mandarin would be a desirable plus, but is not
mandatory.
