TSMC typically have an op margin of 30%. you can figure out the price tag.
Tegra3 sold for $15 and above depending on the model and apparent NV didn't
make money out of it. Tegra 4 price tag most likely in the 40~50 range,
which hurt their sale. for Qualcomm, the average snapdragon should be near $
30.
top end snapdragon 800 should also run at least 40~50 or even higher. this
chip is 87mm2. A7 likely would be 30~40 for Apple considering the
unrealistic 100% yield.

the different in die size should push the price up to almost 20 already,
assuming the 17.5 is the right one. adding the new process R&D, lower yield
and cost due to almost 2x transistor density and new process, you are more
likely looking at 25 to 30 a piece at the beginning. Unlike intel and NV etc
that could do die-harvest to sell some as lower grade, A7 is more a clear
cut and hurt its yield further.
on the other hand, it is possible 3* doesn't make much money out of this for
the sake of partnership for polishing up process. this means 3* will offer
apple a price impossible for any other vendors. then $25 is reasonable and
apple won't be able to move to TSMC any time soon unless they willing to
offer extra $5~10 per chip.
