1.Get a free account through the App Studio http://appstudio.windowsphone.com 2.Install the Preview for Developers app 3.Launch the Preview for Developers app, check the box, click “done” 4.Go to settings -> phone updates, and check for updates 5.Install the 8.0.x update, preparing you for 8.1 6.Then, check for updates again, and install the 8.1 update 7.Enjoy!
