I criticize Apple because I want them to LEAD, not play catch up with
another platform that keeps on being first.
The tech press fawns all over a new iPhone, proclaiming it to be the first
smartphone that has a 5.5 inch screen. Hell I’ve read every claim short of
“it’s the first phone that lets you talk to another person.”
Only those with True Faith believe these things. Investors know better, and
we’re getting a little tired of Apple resting on its laurels for how many
years now?
If the faithful can’t counter the Android crowd’s claims with anything
more substantive than “leave us alone,” that’s Apple’s failing, not the
failing of Android Fanbois.
You cover tech? Great. Maybe start covering it from an investor standpoint
now and again. Demand better. (You’ll get some credibility, too. Right now
all people see is a starry-eyed uncritical set of typists reporting on
iEverything.)
