牛校AP,实验室还没人。电面的时候他说了一堆concern, 说要考虑一周。 10天后没音
讯我就发了个email问他决定了没有。他回复很快，说直接给我打电话。电话问我要什
么时候开始工作，让我大概两周后去面试，要见啥人什么。大致又讲了下他的实验（不
详细，说要给我发paper, 然后讨论下等等）电话挂掉已经过4天了，他还没有发paper
或面试安排给我。总觉得有点慢啊。我这是一直等着么？要写信去问么？我没有申
其他实验室的，他会不会在等其他candidate?

HI everyone,
is it allowed to apply for Green Card from F-1 , student visa directly
without H1B?
Any disadvantages ? The GC application may take longer?

生了老二,对门两家老美都送了老二和老大礼物(衣服),不知道该不该送点什么回敬.老
美这边有什么规矩. 我们搬过来2年多,看到他们人就打招呼,其实大部分时间很少见到
人.一家有2个小女孩,他们在外面玩,我常带大宝去跟他们玩.一家是老太太,一年前刚生
了个外甥.

yeap, if you marry a US citizen, you get GC in 2 months.
Even you are an illegal immigrant.

没必要特意回礼，等下一个什么节日的时候，做点吃的，或者送点礼物就行了

面试完了的职位就忘掉或者接着找下一家。此原则适用于几乎一切工作申请。

不过现在走PERM的EB2/3严重排期中
没个三五年是拿不到绿卡的
所以除非你走EB1
否则迟早还是需要H1B

Thank you card would be nice enough.
I gave out personalized chocolate bar with a birth announcement printed on
the wrap.
Some Americans give out cigar as well.

这个方向实验室也就两三个，一个还在欧洲。如果他给了面试，那我也赶紧准备
下talk啥的，好郁闷。

当年申请博后的时候，从onsite完到email offer大概两个月，从email offer到正式纸
质offer又是两个月，2月份下大雪的时候面试，拿offer的时候是6月骄阳似火，某top
医学院
后来去了每一天都感觉这个地方太政治了，办事效率低下
