这种学校都是needed based的FA，之所以学校没有给，估计是就评估下来，他们家不需
要FA

做泡菜的。很久以前买过一瓶野山椒的，巨辣，做的泡椒凤爪很过瘾，但是忘了牌子了
，后来也没见着那种，瓶子比图上这种大。

If your annual household income is over $180K, no need-based financial aid
from any school.
If your annual household income is $30-50K, congratulations. You will get a
free ride.
To be qualified for financial aid, go back to a university and become a
postdoc ($30-50K).
Wait. Does that drastic job change worth the $30-50K "saving" you would get
from the financial aid? Well, if your current annual household income is
about $60-100K, yeah, it is your gain.
If your family earns more than $100k annually, no, it would not work for
your benefit.
If your annual household income is over $180K, no need-based financial aid
from any school.
If your annual household income is $30-50K, congratulations. You will get a
free ride.

I just want to point out that parents need to be VERY careful with the
strategy such as annuity, oil well investment, etc . They are NOT for
everyone and the financial advisors seldom point out the drawback.
However, there are many "small things" one can do to help. For example, if
parents have custodial accounts under child's name for the child, it should
be converted to 529 with the owner being parents. Since parent's assets
is only accessed at the rate of 5.6% each year while student's assets
accessed at 50%. Or use up all the assets in the custodial account (for
education purpose) before filing FAFSA and CCS/Profile.

不好意思最近太忙没看到你的问题。

再加上自己平时做饭的经验做了一些小改动。我改进后的菜谱好像在版里有帖子，mm到
我家页里看看能找到不。
我前段时间馋辣的酸的，买了点儿牛肉片好几瓶儿小米辣做了一大锅带着家里的孩子吃
的爽啊！哈哈！
其实一瓶小米辣就可以做一大锅酸汤肥牛的。肥牛自己买来冷冻稍解冻时候自己用刀切
的比较薄且嫩一点儿。超市买的牛肉片太厚了，口感不好。
一直想给mm拍照的，太忙总是忘了，刚拍好了楼下放图。

This is not accurate. All schools look at BOTH income and assets. But
income plays a much big roles than assets when calculate EFC. If you have
10M in assets and 0 earned income. I doubt your family will qualify for need-based
aid.
Well if one choose to "hide" all the assets, that's another story.

靠，人家不差钱，harvard基本上年收入十万以下家庭学费全免，到18万还能免一些。
