I have gone through the online repair registration using the link you
provided me with. However, while doing so I noticed that I am expected to
pay for shipping and insurance on the computer when sending it to the Acer
Depot for repair. As this is a brand new computer, and I paid full price
with the expectation of receiving a working laptop with a working webcam, I
do not find it acceptable that I am expected to pay for the shipping just to
get the computer in the working order it should have been in when I
received it. I called Acer support to take this matter up with them, and
they explained to me that, for some reason, in their records the laptop I
purchased was registered in July of 2010, which puts me past the 30 day
warranty that would cover the shipping for repairs. As I am sure you are
aware, I purchased this laptop from your company on November 11, 2010, and
received it on November 18, 2010, which puts me well within the 30 day
warranty. There is absolutely no reason why I should have to pay for
shipping to repair a brand new computer that did not work upon receipt. I
feel as if I am getting poor customer service from Acer and a product that
simply does not work as it should. If there is not some resolution, I will
need to insist on returning the laptop for a full refund.
