I got laid off and lost the group health/dental insurance with the previous
employer. They sent me a package called CORBRA which I can use but it's very
expensive. Does anybody know if there's anything better than CORBRA? My two
kids need to be under the plan as well.Thanks.

你们那里有Dean之类的health insurance么？找他们要quote，看看能不能比CORBRA便
宜点儿吧。bless！

便宜的insurance保的很差，大都是family 4000deductible
CORBRA好像还是延续公司保险政策吧，这个你查查，有孩子得权衡好

基本上 Corbra是最好的选择了这种情况下

要看你在那一州。每个州的保险不同，不能一概而论。
如果你要参加某些州政府给的廉价保险（比如纽约州的Healthy NY)，你还得把COBRA的
18个月完成才能参加这种廉价的保险。另外COBRA是有一定时间要参加的。貌似失去公
司保险後30至60天内必须参加。所以你要问清楚，不要随便放弃COBRA，到头来如果别
的保险也无法参加，你会两头空。
