basic package, which one to choose?
1) no urgent need for chinese channels
2) hope to have better customer services and less hidden fees/tricks
3) the more free HD the better
now only have 1 tv, but want to have the potential for at least one more in
the future. I don't think I need DVR but definitely HD receiver (that's a
must for HD channels, right?)
seems the best I can find online is dish from here

这两个差不多,DISH的DVR比directtv的好用,不用DVR的话,哪个便宜上哪个吧

I just cannot think of a real need to record any program that I cannot miss.

没比过， 现在我用dish, dish的大陆中文台多一些， 两台电视的remote, 你列的价钱
没问题， 除了不知那$75 rebate的事儿。 没怎么跟客服打过交道， 只有一次电视收
不到了信号了，online chat过， 总体感觉还行， 只是最近中文的elite package居然
涨了5刀， 觉得不爽

比如上次世界杯和快男的时间冲突？美国国内重要的比赛都会把时间安排开的

dvr的好处是不用现场看,可以快进,跳过广告,节约时间.比如说我晚上11:00开始把当天
想看的节目看一遍,然后睡觉

录像有个好处可以跳过广告
所以比赛我经常就先录上一段时间，才开始看

我原来的cable公司， 把HD channel都放在一起比较方便
现在我是american top 120 + chinese elite， 合在一起也$50+了

你自己编一个list,把常看的台放在一起就可以了

any more...

有HD only list啊
我以前转到dish hd absolute，很爽，NBA, NFL, NHL,Tennis啥的都有，才29.99基本价

btw, can one HD receiver get HD channels for both 2 TV's in different rooms?

free就是没有为了这些台多掏钱， 呵呵
曾经看了两年的NBA channel, 感觉没多少精彩比赛， 还得看TNT,ESPN

如果是两个电视看同一个台.可以双HD,一个接component,另一个接HDMI
如果是两个电视看不同台,一个HD,另一个走RF modulator,是SD

你这个定义不make sense,你的package不同,free的台也就不同了

我这个钱比我原来付的还少啊，才29.99，全是HD
没多少，总比没有好啊，而且 TNT，ESPN也都有
