exactly! how many times am I going to use the monopod? C-1691 looks good
on paper, however, its folded length is longer than C-1690. I will mainly
use this tripod for travel. Furthermore, the fact that one leg can be taken
off might increase the instability of the tripod....
So I might just go with the C-1690 then.
