我住的公寓８月底到期，但是我５月底就得搬走，现在找到了新人来转租，managament
office谈过了也没问题，可是他
让我提供ＳＳＮ，在w９表上签名。我不太明白这是为什么，那个工作人员比较糊涂他
也说不清楚、
请问这个表是干嘛的？为什么转租房子需要这个呢？

W９是他们必须填的，因为他们是＂承包商，中间商＂，IRS让他们填。
你填的时候，问一句＂ Am I subject to backup withholding? " 也就是问一下，你
们当地会不会扣你税。一般来说不会。
如果答案是不会，你从他那里要一个W９的copy，留做备份
如果答案是会，你要问清楚是哪条法律规定的，然后在打电话到 IRS confirm一下，顺
便问问能不能退税

刚刚搜到上面一段话，因为你从中间商那里盈利，所以他们要W－９
必须把SSN填对，如不填对（与IRS的记录不符），IRS会charge你payment的２８％
剩下的大多数情况 IRS不会withhold你的钱，除非你欠IRS很多钱，又被IRS发现你在租
房牟利。
