Design, formulate, and develop inks for inkjet printers. Develop and utilize
expertise in pigments, dyes, polymers, dispersions, surfactants, water
souble organic compounds and solvents. Utilize knowledge of colloid and
color science. Research and identify causes of formulation, design or
technical problems. Carry out analysis and evaluation of new materials and
formulations to ensure that fundamentals are fully understood, basic
problems are solved, and that the design is sufficiently robust to continue
to meet regulatory and HP quality standards.
Keeps abreast of current technological trends and developments. Represents
HP to suppliers and vendors on proposed formulations, designs, manufacturing
concepts or procurement of necessary materials. Represents the department,
section or function on various cross-functional teams designed to improve a
process or solve problems. Takes active role in generation of Intellectual
Property through patent generation.
