why not zojirushi? it always haunted me why ppl here r so fond of tatung, while zojirushi is better and is only a little more expensive anything great about tatung compared to zojirushi that I missed?
My understanding is that Zojirushi uses no-stick pot, which could be scratched and causes health concerns for some people. Tatung has pots made of stainless steel so ppl here prefer it. Tatung at lower price is ice on the cake.

thanks well, afaik, all products from Zojirushi use non-stick material (thermo pot, rice cooker, etc), even for those specifically made in Japan and sold in Japan. My question is: Is non-stick so bad? taking Zojirushi thermo pot as an example, daily use won't scratch the inner at all if following the instruction. Zojirushi is considered the top line in the kitchen appliance market, and I just can't figure out the reason why they changed from stainless steel to non-stick material, if there are such health concerns... Or non-stick thing is a totally "phantom ghost" story?
