英文写的将就. COPY 下来得发包子. 偷偷摸摸COPY 了不发包子小心烂蛋蛋.
1. Canon 14L vs. 14L II
Mark I: Red ring between data printing and focus ring; the larger “14mm”
marking on barrel is lined up with index line of distance scale in clear
window (between the clear window and the mount); “U ULTRASONIC” marking on
barrel is in white (to the right of the clear window); AF/MF switch raised
block is narrower; the ribbed band on barrel neighbors the mount directly.
Mark II: Data printing between red ring and focus ring; the larger “14mm”
marking on barrel is on the side of distance clear window (to the right of
the window); “U ULTRASONIC” marking on barrel is in red (to the right of
“14mm”; AF/MF switch raised block is wider; there is a smooth band between
the ribbed band and the mount.
2. Canon 24L vs. 24L II
Mark I: On data marking ring on the front, there is a red “U ULTRASONIC”
after the red “L” instead of small white “USM”; no marking on the band
where the clear window is; red mounting index is on the last band, very
close to the mount.
Mark II: On data marking ring on the front, small white “USM” after the “
L II”; on the band where the clear window is, there is white “CANON” and
red “U ULTRASONIC” markings on the sides of the window, “CANON” on close
distance side, “U Ultrasonic” on infinity side; there is another raised
band between the red mounting index and the mount.
3. Canon 50/1.8 Mark I vs. Mark II
Mark I: Focus ring in the middle of the barrel as a raised rubber band with
ribs; chrome metal mount.
Mark II: Focus ring at the very front of the barrel, plastic ring, ribbed
but not raised; black plastic mount.
4. Canon 85L vs. 85L II
Mark I: DOF markings are straight lines; data marking on front ring spells
out “ULTRASONIC” in red, after “L”.
Mark II: DOF markings are spreading lines; data marking on front ring uses
“USM” in white, after “L II”.
5. Canon 100 Macro non-USM vs. USM vs. L IS
The L IS version is easy to spot by the red ring and its shape. From the
rubber grip to the front of the lens, the shape does not taper to smaller
diameter, whereas the non-USM and USM do.
The differences between the non-USM and USM:
Non-USM: There is a wide smooth band between the data marking ring and lens
front; there is no dotted golden ring (USM) on lens front; rubber grip is
narrow and has only one row of ribs; clear window is in front of rubber grip
; AF/MF and limiter switches are just two switches located on two sides,
near the mount.
USM: There is no band between the data marking ring and lens front; dotted
golden ring (USM) on lens front, between data ring and hood bayonet; rubber
grip is wide and has three rows of ribs; clear window is in the rear of
rubber grip; AF/MF and limiter switches are on a raised block located left
of the clear window.
6. Canon 300/4 non-IS vs. IS
Non-IS: Name plate in front of focus grip (very front part of the barrel);
the clear window is directly in front of the tripod collar; raised block
with AF on/off and limiter switches is to the left of the clear window, also
directly in front of tripod collar; a ribbed band directly behind the
tripod band; the original tripod collar Ring A(W) has square foot.
IS: Name plate between the clear window and tripod collar; the clear window
between name plate and tripod collar; two raised blocks - AF on/off and
limiter block to the left is near the mount, IS control block to the left of
name plate; there is no ribbed band behind the tripod band; the original
tripod collar Ring B(W) has rounded foot.
7. Canon 16-35L vs. 16-35L II
Pretty hard to tell as they look almost the same, except the data w/ and w/o
the “II”, and filter size marked on front name ring 77mm vs. 82mm. Mark I
hood is EW-83E. Mark II hood is EW-88. Sometimes the newer Mark II has
recycle symbol (10 in a circle) on the barrel opposite to the clear window
but it is not very reliable. There is subtle difference in the width of a
band on focus ring that is not covered by the rubber grip, on the rear side.
The uncovered band is wider on Mark II. See photo.
8. Canon 24-70L vs. 24-70L II
Mark I: Old fashion data markings around the red ring; hood is very deep,
petal shape is not as prominent; hood bayonet is not on the front most
barrel; top edge of clear window has IR marking in red; “U ULTRASONIC” is
marked near mount, in line with the clear window, in red.
Mark II: No data markings around the red ring; hood is much shallower, petal
shape is very prominent; hood bayonet is on the front most of the barrel;
top edge of clear window has “CANON” in white instead of IR marking in red
; “ULTRASONIC” is marked in white, to the right of the clear window, under
“24-70mm” marking, no red “U ULTRASONIC” marking near the mount.
9. Canon 70-200/2.8 L vs. L IS vs. L IS II
Non-IS: Focus rubber grip (front) is narrower than zoom rubber grip; No
marking on the ribbed band; Red mounting index is on the smooth band near
mount; the larger 70-200mm marking on barrel is on top of clear window (in
line with distance scale index).
IS Mark I: Focus rubber grip (front) and zoom rubber grip have same width;
Golden “Image Stabilizer” on the ribbed band (in line with clear distance
window); Red mounting index is on the ribbed band, with the smooth band
between the mounting index and the mount; the larger 70-200mm marking on
barrel is on the side of clear window .
IS Mark II: Focus rubber grip (front) is wider than zoom rubber grip; Golden
“Image Stabilizer” on the ribbed band (in line with clear distance window
); Red mounting index is on the ribbed band, with the smooth band between
the mounting index and the mount; the larger 70-200mm marking on barrel is
on the side of clear window .
10. Canon 70-200/4 L non-IS vs. IS
Barrel size and shape are almost identical. Hood is also the same ET-74.
Non-IS: Marking on the ribbed band near mount is “70-200mm” in black, in
line with the clear window; the clear window and raised control block are
narrow, taking front half of the band on the barrel; marking to the right
of the clear widow is “U ULTRASONIC” in red; the ribbed band near mount is
not all the way to the mount, there is a smooth band in between, on which
the red mounting index sits.
IS: Marking on the ribbed band near mount is the golden “IMAGE STABILIZER”
, in line with the clear window; the clear window and raised control block
are wider, in the middle of the band on the barrel, the block is much
longer as it has 4 switches in a row; marking to the right of the clear
widow is “70-200mm” in black then “U ULTRASONIC” in red; the ribbed band
near mount is all the way to the mount, the red mounting index sits on the
ribbed band.
11. Canon 300/2.8 non-IS vs. IS vs. IS II
Case: non-IS has square “coffin” case. IS has Case 300 and Case 300B. They
are slightly different. Case may not be reliable as it can be switched or
there is no case.
Non-IS: Filter has one lock button in the middle; there is a wide ribbed
band between filter slot and the mount; the front rubber band has no control
button; the twist control collar is in the rear of the 2nd rubber band, not
tween the two rubber bands; strap loops have a chrome round base (base is
attached to tripod collar) and the eyelets are at an angle; name plate on
tripod collar; all switches are on one raised block, the block is to the
left of the clear window/name plate; tripod foot extends same length to the
front and rear of the collar.
IS: Filter has two lock buttons; there is a only a narrow smooth band
between filter slot and the mount, filter slot is very close to the mount;
the front rubber band has 4 control buttons; the twist control collar is
between the two rubber bands; strap loops have no base and are located just
front of tripod collar, the eyelets are horizontal; name plate on barrel in
front of tripod collar; all switches are on one raised block, the block is
to the left of the clear distance window; tripod foot extends most length to
the front and a little to the rear of the collar.
IS II: Filter has two lock buttons; there is a only a narrow smooth band
between filter slot and the mount, filter slot is very close to the mount;
the front rubber band has 4 control buttons; the twist control collar is
between the two rubber bands; strap loops have a rectangular base and the
bases are on the tripod collar, the eyelets are horizontal; name plate on
tripod collar; switches are on two separate raised blocks, one block is to
the left of the clear window, the other is to the left of the filter slot (
near the mount); tripod foot extends only to the front of the collar –
similar to the foot of 540IS/428IS.
12. Canon TSE24 vs. TSE24 II
Difference in size/shape is quite obvious. The front barrel is much bigger
and the rubber focus band is much wider on Mark II. It cannot be mistaken.
