anyone has experience with these? only a couple bulks ah.
say 67-72, 72-77, only need to buy one size threaded filter then?

it's for CPL or special effect filters- so that you don't need to buy one
for each thread size. Unless you shoot a 82mm or larger thread lens, 77mm
filters should do. The B&H generic ones works just fine.

But why so cheap? and people always complain that they have to buy multiple
filters for different size lens but with stepup rings seems that problem is
not real?
What is the catch here?

No catch really. Those that complain were most likely referring to having to
buy one UV /skylight for every lens to serve as optical performance
attenuator. (aka protector). Why are the step-up rings cheap? It's a no
brainer. - doesn't cost much to make.

What lenses are these?!!!
Actually I used a 72-77mm stepup ring with a 77mm 10 stop filter. It was
fine, except it is a pain in the butt to take them apart. The stepup ring
either stuck with the lens or the filter. Don't know if it is just me though.
