Back in December, the Japanese magazine Impress Japan published an interview
(in Japanese) with Sigma CEO, Kazuto Yamaki.
Of course, Mr. Yamaki was rather coy when responding to the unavoidable
questions about future products, but an interesting bit of info emerged.
It appears Sigma has something “groundbreaking” up their sleeves, which is
“not a camera”. Still, it may be related to the Foveon, or it may be a
new feature to be incorporated in Sigma’s next camera.
When asked whether this would be introduced at CP+ (13-16 Feb. in Japan) or
not, Mr. Yamaki said he couldn’t answer that question. We’ll see.
So what do you think this so-called “groundbreaking” thing could be?
