Job description
Responsible for requirements analysis, design, and implementation of
business intelligence solutions utilizing OBIEE to meet customer’s business
and technical needs.
Conduct requirements analysis to capture, document and prioritize the
customer’s business and technical needs.
Design and implementation of the metadata and/or reporting components of
the solution. This includes testing and deployment of the components.
Building the business and presentation layer within OBIEE to meet the
business requirements of the project.
Analyze and develop business solutions.
Create reports and graphs using OBIEE 11 G to meet the business
requirements of the project.
Work closely with Business Analyst to determine feasibility.
Create and complete testing of repository, reports, dashboards and
analytics to ensure they meet documented business requirements.
Ensure that development activities adhere to the team’s standards and
best practices so that overall business intelligence data integrity is
maintained.
Proactively communicate issues to team to assist in managing defects.
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or in a related
field and a minimum of 6 years of Industry knowledge with hands-on
experience in related technology. At least 3 years of experience in design
and development in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
and at least 1 year of experience on DAC, Informatica, ETL architecture and
OBIEE pre-build data models
Six (6) years demonstrated development experience with:
Oracle 10g/11g database
SQL programming
Three (3) years demonstrated development experience with:
Oracle OBIEE 10g/11g Repository development
Creating and Managing Application Roles in Oracle OBIEE EM
Oracle OBIEE 10g/11g Answers/Analytics and Dashboards
SQL querying tool (i.e. SQL Developer)
HTML, Javascripts, and CSS coding
Data Warehouse/ Data Marts
Technical Documentation
Desired Experience:
At least one BI app such as financial analytics, supply chain analytics,
HR analytics, procurement and spend analytics, or in a similar field
PL/SQL experience
Data Modeling and OBIEE star schema
Working Knowledge of PeopleSoft
Predictive analytics and big data
Other data visualization tools such as Tableau, Tibco Spotfire, QlikView
Deploying OBIEE to mobile/tablet devices
