想给父母申请绿卡，我是公民，家里唯一的孩子。现在犹豫是让他们过来探亲，然后在
这里递申请等待，还是让他们直接在中国等。两者时间上会差很多吗？
爸妈担心在美国等的话，万一有什么紧急情况也没法回国，所以倾向在国内等。大家有
经验的请帮忙给点意见，谢谢了。

In your case, it is better for your mom to stay in China for approval.
The reason is:
If you want your mom to come here by holding B visa, it is not good for your
mom to apply green card when she just arrive in USA (B visa should not have
intent to immigrant). Usually it is good for her to wait for 4-5 months
before application.
So,I think that it is better for your mom to stay in China for approval.
Please ask a lawyer for your question to make sure you have a professional
answer for your question.

谢谢。我也听说B Visa马上转身份不太好。就是担心如果在国内等时间会不会长很多
呢? 如果只是差几个月，那我妈妈想在国内等，如果需要一两年，那这段时间他们也不
能探亲来看我了，比较纠结。希望有多点信息，谢谢大家。

if their plan is to stay in US, come and file I-485 and I-131. Can get AP to
travel for < 6 months. (3 months intentional wait to file I-485, and 3
months I-131 processing) I they only want to visit US a couple of months
per year, just use B2 visa(which they should have no problem to renew) and
DO NOT immigrate. Keeping GC is difficult for those who spend most of the
year abroad.

境内快于境外。但是假如他们以访问签证进入后申请绿卡，有可能他们在申请访问签证
时是否存在作假会成为问题。访问签证需要证明有回中国的意图，如果这个意图是来美
国后改变的，这不是什么问题，但是假如申请签证时已经打算来美后不再回中国而直接
申请绿卡，有被移民局日后认定作假的风险。移民局有可能需要你父母递交I-
601waiver。
当然也很有可能他们根本就无法获得访问签证，由于领事馆可能会认定移民倾向。
