请问各位版友一个婚姻绿卡问题。我是绿卡，老婆现在是H1B,准备自己办F2A结婚绿卡
。看了USCIS的介绍，貌似分I130和485两步。请问864 affidavit of support 是不是
485时候才需要用，而i130的时候不用啊？另外，体检什么的是不是也只有到了485才用
？

A two-family house, upper and down. There are three beds/each unit but no
living room.
However, the old house has a back staircase, taking up 80 square feet space/
unit, 160 square feet in total. The staircase is right next to kitchens
that is quite big.
The idea is to convert the staircase space to new kitchens so that the
current kitchens can be converted to a living room/unit.
Anyone has an idea: how much would this project cost? Is it a good idea for
rental and resale?
Plumbing should not be an issue since the stairway space is right next to
kitchen. The sink can be just flipped to the other side of the wall.
The house is located in north new jersey.
