Questions:
1. My I140 was approved last week. Since the EB1 visa is unavailable till
10/01/2016, I assume my I485 package should NOT receive the USCIS office
before 10/01/2016. Otherwise, my petition will be denied. If I plan to
ship my package on 09/30/2016, that should be fine.
2. Once I submit the I485, I don't know whether I should stay in US until I
receive the GC or AP, whichever comes eariler. I am on F1-OPT right now and
I used to travel a lot between US and Canada and each time I used auto-
revalidation.

You should be careful of this. When you submit 485, you are in the status of
AOS.You can not hold F-1 status any more.

Wrong. You continue to be in F-1 status unless and until you violate the
terms of F-1 status (for example, if you stop going to school, or work
outside of school/CPT/OPT).
