我这口破牙折腾我好几年了，从08年怀孕开始一直到现在。前两星期预约，今天是在
美国第一次深洗，有些地方我有点疑惑。洗半口牙，只花1个小时的时间，我想，医生
会不会偷工减料阿，因为我上次在另外一个诊所看的时候，人家同我说，半口牙要洗2
个小时。还有，现在麻药效用已经消失了，牙龈还有点疼。这正常不？我总担心这
牙医不专业，打个麻药，把我半张嘴皮都快戳烂了，至少打了7，8针。我之前在他们
极力劝说下，还选了深洗后，在牙龈里加一种叫arrestin 消炎药。人家只给我3颗牙
齿加了。收据上说arrestin 4 sites. 不知道这种药有没有必要加，贼贵。我现在担
心被人忽悠了。

我刚做过深洗，一共去了5次，呵呵，那哥们是个慢性子老头，每次就6-8颗牙，他是个
教授，我想他比较有经验巴，他没有给我任何药，不知道是不是他落伍了，他说我这病
1：1000，而且还遗传，母传女，口腔唾液无法杀掉什么菌？所以给药以后，又能怎样
？有助于牙周袋愈合？我也不懂。要不你问问医生？我花了800美元，包括后面半年，
每月复诊，就是去那，把又脏了的地方再咔嚓咔嚓。
现在，每天早中晚刷3遍牙，每次都折腾个20分钟，因为牙缝大了55555

谢谢momo2008回复：）我现在的牙齿惨不忍睹，牙缝很大很大。发现牙周病威力还真
大，也就那么一两年的功夫，牙齿已经被毁了：（
我现在刷牙每次也很小心地刷，一颗一颗地清理。　　估计我这口牙很快就掉了，坚持
不到我老的时候了。
我们家调皮蛋现在１７个月大了，我图像里那会他刚一岁。

Statistically, Arestin does improve the prospect of healing from periodontis
, see e.g.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12670085
So if you can afford it, using it on the worst few teeth is reasonable.

Next time when you do the other half, ask them for needleless anesthetic. It's much better. Arrestin is good. I had a few sites that cannot be controlled by brushing/flossing and regular clean. Arrestin cleared swelling and pain.
I also use Philips Sonicare brush like this one:
http://www.sonicare.com/brushes/flexcare/c_flex_t2_prod2_packcont.asp
It cleans much better. Now all my teeth have 2-4 readings.

太感谢你的建议了：）其实我也用电动牙刷，我不敢常用，担心把本来就松动的牙齿
弄得更不牢固了。

It's much better. Arrestin is good. I had a few sites that cannot be
controlled by brushing/flossing and regular clean. Arrestin cleared swelling
and pain.

多谢建议：）我下回洗另外半边之前，要把该问的都问清楚，我发现洗完后，半边
脸又麻又肿得，话都说不清楚了。

Bring your 电动牙刷 and show to your dental hygienist next visit. He/She may
give you advice on if it would hurt your gum or there is a better option
out there. I used to use another brand 电动牙刷 and my hygienist said it's
not effective and recommended me the current one. It was much more expensive
but I can share the base with my wife. I bit the bullet. Boy, the
difference is huge.

Mine is Philips Sonicare Elite 9500:

It uses magnetic to generate high rate vibrations. Far better than previous
twist power brush in regard to clean teeth and massage gum. I would take a
look at their newest FlexCare model (mine has big head connector and the mag
piece is hard to clean. newest model improved it):

Check Costco. They may have sample display.
